Role of Business in Civilization

If I say, nowadays a middle-class man is enjoying the luxury of a King of medieval time. You might think I am crazy but that is the reality. The business has made it possible. Let me give you an example, we are just a click away to reduce the temperature of our room, but a King has to move along with his family to the palace near to the river. We need to push some button of our mobile to talk with our relatives but a King has to send a pigeon to only send a message and wait a long time to get the feedback. I think, now you are changing your mind about my mental state.

When human being learned to grow crops then they have started to exchange goods to one another. That is might be an ancient form of Business. Year after year the form of business had improved which has contributed to the development of civilization. To smoothen the transaction in business a medium of exchange was required that is why human being invented money instead of barter system. Initially, businesses are concentrated on only basic needs like food & cloth. With the fulfillment of these two businesses has diversified its product to shelter and health and then entertainment.

With the change of time, the business has concentrated on creating demand for product/service which is not even known by the consumer. These products or services are making the life of the customer easy. Civilization has changed radically as magic by the “Competition” amount big business. To grab the market share various business organization came with a new product with better utility. With the invention of new technology different activities are become much more easily at the same time obsolete the old technology. Let me give me an example, printing technology has changed with the invention of the computer compose. Before that invention, printing paper was time-consuming and expensive. Because earlier to print a paper you need a dice of lead for every letter than one need to put each and every letter to a frame manually. After that, the frame has to place in the printing machine and paper needs to place one by one manually to that machine. See the difference.

So, civilization is evolving with the Business world. But there is always another side of the coin. The business world is so engrossed in profit maximization, they forgot the impact on the environment. Nowadays, climate change in expediting by the restless activities of the business organization. Therefore for the survival of life, each and every business organization need to emphasize on environment-friendly initiatives.
